Art Sessions with Xavier
A course that combines learning and achieving a flow state.
Description
Over the course of several sessions, you'll learn the fundamentals of drawing: How do you hold and move the pencil correctly? How do you observe your subject to depict it realistically? How do you draw good-looking lines? How do you depict volume in three dimensions? How do you create magic with light and shadow? How do you bring colours to life?
Each course begins with a relaxed arrival, a moment to let go of stress and everyday life, and a warm cup of tea. The theory is then presented, and then you can finally get started and practice. The instructor will be available to answer your questions, but the focus is on getting you lost in the drawing, in a relaxed and playful atmosphere – because with an open mind, creativity can truly flourish.
Each time, there's a new subject, carefully selected to ensure a smooth learning curve. However, you're free to choose another subject of a similar difficulty level.
Information
This workshop will only be held in German and/or English.
When: Once a month on Sunday afternoon.
Duration: 2 hours.
Number of participants: Min. 6 – Max. 10 participants
About Xavier
Every child loves to draw, but many give up at some point. For Xavier, that moment never came, and he always drew and painted. He had honed his skills for a long time until attending art school in Canada during a sabbatical proved to be a true catalyst.
He greatly appreciates how art connects us, helps us create expressive images, and shares our thoughts with others. His favourite art styles combine a certain degree of realism with a great deal of expressiveness.
Xavier has a passion for sharing knowledge and the best tips he has learned.
Materials
We work with pencils and coloured pencils. Drawing materials such as pencils, coloured pencils, paper, erasers, and sharpeners will be provided. However, if you have any pencils or paper at home that you've been wanting to use for drawing, feel free to bring them.
