Día de Muertos · Cacao Circle
Friday 30.10.2026, 18:30 – 20:30
Día de Muertos · Cacao Circle
A celebration of life, remembrance and ancestral lineage.
I grew up in Mexico, where every year at the end of October our homes fill with flowers, candlelight, music and the favorite foods of those who came before us. For a few days the veil between worlds grows thin, and we welcome our ancestors back home, not with sorrow, but with joy, colour and stories.
This tradition reaches back thousands of years, through the traditions of many original peoples. I would love to share it with you.
Together we will:
- Hear the story of Día de Muertos, from its Indigenous roots to how it is lived today
- Open our hearts in a cacao ritual. Cacao is a heart opener and softener, shared in Mexico at many celebrations
- Learn what goes on an ofrenda and why: the candles, the water, the cempasúchil, the bread. And how to create your own at home, woven with your own family traditions
- Share a moment of remembrance in circle
Bring a photo, a name or a small object of an ancestor or loved one you would like to honour, or simply come to honour your lineage.
Details:
- Date: October 30th, 2026
- Time: 18:30 – 20:30
- Place: MOONHUB
- Exchange: 45 CHF, cacao and take-home ofrenda guide included

With love & cacao,
Montse and Alessia
