A starter kit
This spirituality starter set contains a piece of rose quartz and two palo santo sticks.
Description
Palo Santo is a sacred wood with healing properties native to the coast of South America. In Spanish, Palo Santo means holy wood or wood of the saints. It helps to purify energy and keep one grounded.
Rose quartz is a crystal that represents unconditional love. It heals emotional wounds and fears and promotes love, peace and healing. Carry it with you or place it on your nightstand. For more information on rose quartz, see our crystal guide.
How to Use Palo Santo
To begin the ritual, take a moment to express gratitude and set your intention for the practice. Then, open the windows to let in fresh air and positive energy. Light the incense stick and watch the flame dance for 20 seconds before extinguishing it. Now, take the incense stick and spread the fragrant smoke around you and into the corners of your room. Make sure you have burned all the items you want to cleanse for at least 30 seconds, then place the used incense stick in a ceramic bowl or container. Remember not to extinguish the stick with water, as this can damage the Palo Santo. Each stick can be used 10 to 15 times, so you can enjoy the benefits of this cleansing ritual for a long time.
When to smudge:
- When moving into a new home.
- After an argument or when being around a lot of people.
- To cleanse energy from a specific place or object.
- When you feel depressed, anxious, or otherwise unusual.
- When you need to concentrate on energy or thoughts.
- Before going to bed to prevent nightmares.
- When you want to relax in general.
- In the morning, to be thankful.
- Before a ceremony or ritual
